Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a “specific learning difficulty”, which means it causes problems with certain abilities used for learning, such as reading and writing. Unlike a learning disability, intelligence isn’t affected.

There are many causes of dyslexia, and some people can be helped with coloured overlays/spectacles.

In our experience, introducing coloured overlays and specifically chosen coloured tinted spectacles can greatly improve a child’s reading age.

Where necessary we are now including this into our routine eye examination, which is free for those entitled to a NHS eye examination.
